FreshMind does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your food inventory data stays entirely on your device.

📦 What data FreshMind stores

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's CoreData framework. This includes:

• Ingredient names, quantities, purchase dates, and expiry dates you enter
• Storage zone and category information
• Scan history (receipt OCR results, barcode lookups)

This data never leaves your device and is not synced to any server.

📷 Camera access

FreshMind requests camera permission to scan receipts, barcodes, and expiry dates. The camera is only activated when you explicitly open a scan screen. No images are saved or uploaded.

🔔 Notifications

FreshMind may send local notifications to remind you when ingredients are about to expire. These notifications are scheduled on-device and do not involve any external servers.

🌐 Third-party services

When you scan a barcode, FreshMind looks up the product in the Open Food Facts database (world.openfoodfacts.org). Only the barcode number is sent in this request. No personal information is included. Open Food Facts is an open-source, non-profit project.

👤 No account required

FreshMind does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

🔒 Data security

Your data is protected by iOS device-level encryption. Since no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no risk of a remote data breach.

当您扫描条形码时，FreshMind 会在 Open Food Facts 开放数据库（world.openfoodfacts.org）中查询商品信息。此请求仅发送条形码数字，不包含任何个人信息。Open Food Facts 是一个开源非营利项目。

👤 无需注册账户

FreshMind 无需创建账户。我们不收集您的姓名、邮箱、位置或任何其他可识别个人身份的信息。
